Coconut Oil Facts That You Want To Know | MSI Positioning

It seems like scientists and food critics alike can’t seem to agree on whether or not coconut oil is good for us or bad for us. One thing is for sure though, it is really delicious and has many uses both in cooking and in maintaining the health of your overall body.

In the early days coconut oil got a pretty bad reputation for being high in saturated fats that appear to make us unhealthy. Perhaps the chemical process of hydrogenation is what gave this sweet oil its bad name among people who believe that saturated fat in your diet is all bad.

But don’t think that all fat is necessarily bad. It is really important to have all of the coconut oil facts so that you can make an informed decision about what your body needs and what it does not. We need saturated fats in our diet, and they can actually be good for us in many cases. What keeps the bad cholesterol in your body in check? Good cholesterol from good sources of course. And when this good type of fat comes from foods like coconut oil, that means that we really don’t need to fear it as much.

You may be wondering if coconut oil is going to taste like candy, or oil though. There is good news if you like baking or cooking sweet stuff. Coconut oil lends itself to making certain types of foods much sweeter and more delicious when used properly.

When you are replacing that unhealthy trans-fatty cooking oil you are used to in the future, keep in mind that there are healthier sources of oil that are quite good for your body and your taste buds.
