James Brown | Activity | MSU School of Journalism

There doesn’t seem to be anything halfway good on TV anymore. It seems that the lame reality shows are clogging up the airwaves and ruining the minds of everybody who watches them are simply taking over.

Not all hope is lost though. There are still some programs on that don’t seem to make people who watch them dumber. Perhaps all people need is to search through the channels more to really find those hidden gems that are so entertaining.

One such gem is this show I just found called ”Downton Abbey”. This show is simply great! It is about family and their servants living in a really huge castle in England. Because of the nature of ownership of the castle, which is of course titled Downton Abbey there is a lot of plotting, scheming and general tomfoolery to be had.

While it took me a few episodes to get into the show, I have to say that it is completely entertaining and I really love it. Downton Abbey season 2 is the newer (obviously) and can still be found on regular television programming while Downton Abbey season 1 can be found on DVD which I need to get caught up.

No matter what though. I love this show and wouldn’t trade it for any of these stupid reality shows that rot the minds of millions of people, making them dumber each day. If you haven’t seen Downton Abbey, you owe it to yourself to at least give it a try.

You won’t regret it, I promise!
