If you are one of the unlucky millions of people in the U.S who suffer from anxiety, and you need help finding cure for anxiety attacks, you would be wise to keep reading this.
So, you were trying to enjoy some quality time with family or friends, and all of the sudden, BAM… you got a sudden anxiety attack that ruined your whole day.
Then suddenly, instead of enjoying 5 minutes of your life you became anxious, to find that you were scared and filled with panic and anxiety that you can’t control. You start to shake, sweat and fill with more fear as you wonder how you will ever make it out of this alive.
For someone like you, who is constantly anxious, these sensations and thoughts begin to feel normal as you continue to wonder if you will always be so anxious and fear-filled.
I mean, you didn’t invite anxiety into your life to ruin every single thing you do. And I doubt that you wanted to be anticipating the next attack just so that you could be in your so-called safe place so you could escape, did you?
No, you certainly didn’t!
But it is your reality, and there are some easy, natural alternatives that you can do to help avoid these attacks, and stop them cold if they ever try to harm you again. You may have seen some of these simple methods before, but this could be the day that you put them to work for you, because you may find that the simplest things really do work.
A little bit of exercise works wonders:
Everybody knows that a little bit of regular exercise is great for your overall health, but did you know that regular exercise can do wonders to help you in the treatment of anxiety and panic attacks.
Just a little bit of a light workout like running or walking will burn up all that extra nervous energy that the human body is full of as it needs it just in case any real danger is found. You can begin to think of your general anxiety as a kind of fuel that your body can use to its advantage.
On top of eating up all of that extra adrenaline that you don’t want, you will reap the benefits of overall health that comes with regular exercise. You may hate doing the exercise at first (who doesn’t!) but you will soon find that it works wonders for mind and body health.
Take some deep, calm breaths:
So many anxiety sufferers find that this works great in calming them down, but many do not see how this could possibly work to stop a panic attack or reduce overall anxiety.
So the next time you find yourself feeling super anxious and you feel a panic attack coming on, try to pay attention to your breathing. You are breathing very shallow, and rapidly which does not deliver the oxygen that you need to calm down to your body.
You may think that the next time you are in extreme panic mode that you won’t think to stop and breathe, but I can guarantee you that you will. You have to breathe no matter what, so why not slow it down a little and you’ll feel alot better. Something as simple as slowing down your breathing during a panic attack can help you tremendously.
Using simple methods like these ones mentioned for self help for panic attacks can be done without dangerous medication, and you can control your anxiety finally, instead of it controlling you.
