Raleigh Health Spas

The ups and downs of losing weight are more than most people can bare, and the headache while using one of the fad diets for weight loss isn’t much fun either.

Shedding those extra pounds is really hard for all people on diets, but that hardly means that you have to stay overweight for the rest of your life. Many of the things that you find in a lot of foods actually hinder your ability to lose weight, so avoiding them is essential for weight loss.

If you struggle to lose weight and you have heard of these ingredients before, there is a reason why..

Those foods that are not helping you…they are in just about everything you are eating!

Let’s talk about some of the culprits that make us so fat, and why it is a really good idea for our overall health to just avoid them altogether.

Are You Eating Processed Foods?

Processed foods are everywhere you turn, so it’s no wonder why you can find them in the diets of so many people. They can be made cheaply and easily and shipped right to your door if you want them to be.

They can also make you really fat and completely unhealthy. Advertisements on the TV don’t have to give you all of the story it seems, so if you hear the words “high fructose corn syrup”, I’m sure you believe it when they tell you that it’s healthy right?

It’s just like sugar, except it’s from corn so what’s the big deal? Maybe in small quantities, but just like cane sugar this stuff is in all of our foods nowadays. No matter how natural the sugar or where it is derived from, losing weight is going to be very hard for you if you are ingesting a lot of it for each meal you eat.

Keeping in mind that the typical person will consume around 150lbs of sugar in a given year, do you think that if it came from a rainbow it would make any difference in your weight?

It doesn’t matter how you look at it, sugar is plain and simple just empty calories that you don’t need and consuming mass quantities of the stuff is not going to help you one bit in your fight to lose that weight.

Artificial sweeteners are OK though, right?

Well, first of all they are created by man, and not nature. I say, there is nothing that is any good about man making some kind of hybrid of sugar and unknown chemicals. Artificial sweeteners are also linked to a huge list of things that you don’t want to go wrong in your life.

Would you like some instances of depression, anxiety, panic attacks, migraine headaches, loss of memory and a slew of other unwanted health risks that are known to be related to the ingestion of artificial sweeteners? On top of that, they actually stimulate your appetite, so you will be more hungry!

I’m sure you’ve heard of trans fat lately, because it is talked about a lot these days and there is a good reason for this.
In one fell swoop, trans fat actually lowers your good cholesterol while raising your bad cholesterol. With a country full of people who are obese or at risk for heart disease or both, there is no good that will come from eating foods in your diet with a lot of trans fatty acids!

It is important to have the right tools in your arsenal while you fight the battle against being overweight. Knowing which foods are good to eat and which ones should be avoided, the myths and having the good information you need about the food you eat is crucial for any weight loss and/or healthy living.

A healthy food plan that will show you what foods you need to be eating while making sure that you don’t feel hungry all of the time is the best thing that you can use in your weight loss battle.

Don’t forget that if you live in the bay area and are looking for weight loss San Francisco you can find some easy to read resources for losing weight. There is no reason to try so hard to lose weight when with some solid information you can do it without any problem.

I'm struggling too!
