Maybe you haven’t been feeling so good lately, and these sudden rushes of fear come over you really fast. If this is you, then you are experiencing panic attacks.

Panic attacks are like a sudden surge of fear that rushes through your entire body. You can expect to feel both the mental and physical aspects of a panic attack usually. For most people these sensations will go away pretty quickly, but sometimes they have been known to last for an hour or more.

It is common for someone having an anxiety attack to think they are dying of heart failure. You will be OK though, so don’t worry too much. You are just feeling the physical effects of the excess adrenaline pumping through your veins.

If time goes by and these panic episodes do not stop, then you may have an anxiety disorder that needs treating. No matter what people may tell you, this is a real thing and it won’t just go away if you pretend it isn’t there.

But you have options in order to treat panic attacks for sure. These attacks can alter your lifestyle a lot, especially with the nausea, dizziness and chest pain that you may feel during your episodes. You absolutely have to put a stop to these attacks though, and before it’s too late.

When your panic attack is over, you probably feel really drained and tired. Feeling like this is normal, and it happens to most people that have anxiety. Then you spend all your time waiting for the next attack to come, or wondering when it will.

Nobody knows the specific cause of severe panic attacks, but many believe that genetic factors may contribute to anxiety disorders. If any other of your family members have anxiety issues, this could be the reason that you do as well.

Dealing with anxiety over time can often times lead to a person being depressed because of their anxiety. Where there is some anxiety in life, there is generally some anxiety as well, so once you start to feel that your anxiety is getting out of control, you need to find out how to cure anxiety for good so that you can get on with your life.
